September Sunshine

We’re in the middle of an unseasonably hot week, this week. Temperatures are way into the mid-to-high twenties and the sun is shining without a cloud in the sky.

Of course after getting back home from work, much of the garden is already in shade and there’s only a single, precious hour of daylight left. That’s just enough time to re-heat the left overs, throw a couple of chairs out onto the lawn and enjoy what’s left of the day.

I love the light at this time of year, everything is tinged in such a soft and beautiful yellow. The low sun filters through translucent leaves and flowers. There’s no picture I can take to give it justice.
