Recently, we’ve been doing more NT’ing again (visiting National Trust properties) and they’ve been the jewels in the crown of the National Trust. These are famous places that are known …

  • That New Long Border

After the triumph of Magnolia Hill, we moved onto working another border that sits along the beech hedge at the right hand side of the garden. The soil here is …

    by Sunil

With so many things going on in the garden all at once I’ve got snippets of pictures and tag lines; almost like the news headlines. We start with a daylily; …

    by Sunil

A few posts ago I wrote about a June trip to Mottisfont, home of the National Collection of old-fashioned roses, where the overall effect was so overwhelming, it gave me an out-of-body …

Sunil Patel

I'm Sunil Patel, this is me. I created the Garden at 13 Broom Acres and I open it to visitors. I also bake and write blog posts giving a "behind the scenes" look into what it's like to maintain such a garden.

Visit the blog, then come and visit the garden. We can have a good sit-down, a jolly chinwag and a relaxing cup of tea with a sinfully generous slice of home made cake.
