With Compliments

Sometimes, it’s the simple things that can make me happy. For example, in the evening, as I was setting up the table and chairs on the patio at the back for dinner, my other half comes to call me upstairs to look out of the front window, where I spied a woman taking pictures of the front borders and close-ups of some of the flowers.

When I’ve been working in the front garden in the past I’ve received occasional compliments from people walking by, but it’s the first time I’ve seen someone actually stop to take pictures. I didn’t think the front was worth stopping to take pictures, I never saw it that way. It’s a really nice feeling to know that for one person at least, it is.

Visit the blog, then come and visit the garden. We can have a good sit-down, a jolly chinwag and a relaxing cup of tea with a sinfully generous slice of home made cake.

What a wonderful compliment for someone to stop and take photos of your front garden. I hope it made your day!

I will “follow” your blog – I started a garden from nothing myself, 10 years ago, and from time to time a pic or two appears on my own blog. Well done you, and pretty please, any chance of a pic of your front garden (as other people are taking them it must be pretty good!)
